Frequently asked questions
Preguntas frecuentesStraight answers about how FW Media produces events, runs PR and books talent across the bridge between Canada and Latin America.
What does FW Media do?
FW Media is a Canadian multicultural events, public relations and media production company. We produce concerts, festivals, fashion shows and brand activations; run PR and media tours; book and manage artists and talent; and produce photography, video and broadcast, all aimed at connecting brands with Latin-Canadian and Latin American audiences.
Where is FW Media based, and where do you work?
FW Media is based in Canada, in the Greater Toronto Area, and works cross-border into Latin America. Our service area is Toronto, Canada and Latin America: we have produced Toronto–Montreal tours and six-city activations across Ontario, and carried the same production standard into Mexico City and Cuba.
How long has FW Media been doing this?
FW Media has produced live events and media since 1995, more than thirty years. The company began in Mexico City producing fashion shows and supplying models to advertising campaigns, then opened its Canadian chapter in 2003 to offer full event production, video and photography, PR and talent management.
Do you work in both English and Spanish?
Yes. FW Media works in English and Spanish as a first language in both, which is the core of what we do: bridge Anglo-Canadian and Latin-Spanish markets. Strategy, production, copy and on-the-ground talent all run bilingually so a campaign reads as native to each audience.
What kinds of events and tours have you produced?
FW Media has produced national and international concert tours, brand festivals and broadcast media. The proof: a 1,700-person Osmani García run across Toronto and Montreal, six Bacardi festivals across Canada, a six-city Western Union activation in Ontario, and four seasons of the show Latin Shots aired nationally on Rogers TV.
Do you book and manage artists?
Yes. FW Media books, manages and tours Latin artists, brand ambassadors and models, and handles full tour production from first date to load-out. Our roster includes ERI WHITE, Henry Flow, Jhonny Jhon and DJ Danny Castro, and we have toured artists across Canada, Mexico, Cuba and Europe, including a Europe run opening for Don Omar.
Which brands and organizations have you worked with?
FW Media has worked with Bacardi, Western Union, Scotiabank and the Mexican Embassy, among others. These appear as worked-with references, in text only and with no implied endorsement: six festivals for Bacardi across Canada, a six-city Ontario campaign for Western Union, marketing events for Scotiabank, and cultural events for the Mexican Embassy.
Who do you help reach the Latin-Canadian market?
FW Media works with brands that need to reach Latin-Canadian audiences, including CPG companies, banks, money-transfer services, sports and event organizations, and government and embassies. We are the bicultural production partner that brings a brand to that market and gets the cultural read right.
What results can you point to?
FW Media's events have sold through 90 to 100 percent of tickets while meeting their sponsorship targets. On sponsorship specifically, our record includes more leads year over year, more sponsorships secured, and more sponsors returning, the measurable side of work that also fills 1,700-capacity rooms.
How do we start a project with FW Media?
Start by telling us who you are trying to reach through the contact form, and we will tell you exactly how we would produce it. Share the project type, your target audience and a budget band if you have one; FW Media works contract to contract and takes on projects selectively, so the first conversation is about fit and approach.
